This demo will discuss the progression of creating a piece of “happy art” from pencil sketch to the finished artwork using Copic alcohol ink markers as well as Tombow water based markers. Copic shading techniques will be demonstrated in addition to other products used in a finished illustration. In addition you will also be shown the many things you can create from the art you create.

After a health scare a while back, Nancy attended a “zen doodling” class at the Vernon Community Art Centre. She fell in love with the ideas she learned and discovered a whole new world of carefree art. As a child she remembers being fascinated with fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and folk stories. Images began taking shape in her head and she could see magic appearing on paper. She discovered bright, beautiful colours and freedom from rules.
