February 23, 2020

Description

Sunday, February 23 11:00AM – 12:30PM
Sunday, February 23 2:00 – 3:30PM

This workshop will show you how Image transfer can be used with collage as a fine art form, incorporating interesting aspects from your own photographs. Images transfer has become an important two-dimensional medium with other paintings including oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, printmaking, and drawing. It has become the new age of collage. In this workshop, Maggie will focus on the basic elements and principles of design. You will learn about the compositional organization needed to produce an interesting mixed- media painting.

Maggie has been serving the community with inspired programs and events for artists of all ages for over 27 years. The Reggio Emilia philosophy has greatly influenced her practice as an artist and educator. She is now a full-time artist and teaches across B.C. as a certified artist educator with GOLDEN artist paint company in New York. Maggie is a founding member of Arts and Play Society, a non-profit organization that supports Pedagogy of Play and Art to promote well-being and to create a space for social connection.
