Inspiration & Alchemy for Creative Journaling with Jen Burgess
March 19, 2022
Description
When: March 19th at 11:00 am (PST)
Inspiration & Alchemy for Creative Journaling
This virtual demo is designed to spark inspiration, release perfectionism and allow free play in one’s own private sketchbook by providing a bottomless well of ideas and inspiration for future projects!
Prepare for a dash of mindfulness, a pinch of free association writing and a generous sprinkle of basic art theory. Together we will create a dazzling, harmonious double-page journal spread in mixed media, infused with meaning and possibility—just by playing & making a “mess”—no actual drawing skills required!
ALL participants will be able to receive a complimentary downloadable PDF and a link to additional online resources to continue working on their project. Side effects of continuing this practice may include but are not limited to: reconnecting with one’s inner child, improvements in self-awareness, trust in one’s intuition, confidence, emotional resilience, artistic output, greater levels of joy, and just that excited feeling of walking around knowing a juicy secret…

Jen Burgess (she/her) is an artist, creativity coach and art instructor, trained scientific illustrator, naturalist, and self- described recovering perfectionist. She hosts art classes online, coaches artists (& future artists!) one-on-one to level up their practice, and is just beginning to facilitate ongoing online workshops for Inspiration Alchemy Creative Journaling. When she is not making art, helping others make art, or running her independent small business, she is just as likely to be found walking out in nature as she is to be curled up with a book and a mug of tea. She lives with her dog River in Victoria BC, on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen speaking peoples.
