Description
In this exciting 2-day workshop, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of working with soft pastel (chalk), exploring a wide array of traditional & contemporary techniques unique to this luscious medium.
You will learn step-by-step approaches needed to build a variety of landscape subjects, from blocking in with vine charcoal, to layering up with rich colours, and creating dynamic compositions.
Two different papers with unique qualities for producing expressive work will be used, as well as some exploration of using an underpainting technique specifically for pastel.
Attendees of this workshop will be able to confidently take on any subject matter with a new set of skills for years to come!
