May 25, 2019

Description

Session 1: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Session 2: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Watch a sketch of John Singer Sarget come to life through oil paints with S.P. Williams.

Steve will be creating a master copy sketch of a John Singer Sargent portrait using a limited palette. He will show how to set up the painting with an imprimatura, followed by mixing skin tones, mainly using red and yellow to make orange, and black to mute the color. He will also talk about the importance of judging values to their darker neighbour to create convincing form.

Space is limited and registration is required.
