Lights, Shadows and Values Bring Your Drawings to Life with Wendy Mould

October 19, 2019

Description

Saturday, October 19 11:00AM – 12:30PM
Saturday, October 19 2:00PM – 3:30PM

Ever wonder what turns your drawing or painting from flat to 3-D?  What changes it from mundane to extraordinary? It’s the way you manipulate the light, shadows and values in your painting. Join Wendy in a hands-on up close and personal look at light and shadows using shapes and a flashlight. Then, use that knowledge to complete a drawing. You will take away a better understanding of how light, shadows and values integrate into your work, whether it is a black and white drawing, or full of colour.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Langley or contact them at 604‑533‑0601 to register.

Wendy Mould, AFCA, CDM is a wildlife artist, instructor, presenter and active member of the Fraser Valley Art Scene. Creating “things” has always been a big part of her life; she started with fiber and fabric, but once she found drawing, she knew she had found her true voice. The birds and animals that Wendy sees on her camping and hiking trips are her favourite themes.  Bringing nature to life in graphite and watercolour is her goal. Wendy is an experienced teacher and instructor offering private drawing lessons for all ages. More of Wendy’s work may be seen at www.artbywendy.com and on www.artbywendysblog.blogspot.ca
