Join Jimmy Leslie, Resident Artist and Director of the Liquitex Fine Art Collective Education program for some Inktober fun when he shares tons of information about the 20 NEW Liquitex Acrylic Ink colors!  Jimmy will show you the different ways that you can incorporate pen and brush & ink techniques into your own work.  Jimmy will also discuss how you can alter Liquitex Acrylic Inks with mediums to create thicker paint applications that fit your painting needs.  This will be a great opportunity to pick Jimmy’s brain on all things acrylic so come with questions in mind.

Liquitex Matte Gel

Brushes – from our sister brand Winsor & Newton I’ll use the new synthetic watercolour brushes: Rigger size #3 and Flat One Stroke ¼”

Surfaces – I’ll use my sketchbook which is 3.5 X 5.5” called Handbook by Global Art Materials.  I’ll also use the Winsor & Newton 9X12” mixed media pad.

Artist Bio

Jimmy Leslie is painter, former college art professor and currently Resident Artist for the fine art brands Liquitex and Winsor & Newton.  Jimmy also directs The Fine Art Collective education program for the brands in North America and works with the marketing team on assets related to new product development.  His paintings have been exhibited across the United States and reside in collections in the US and UK.

Of his personal work Jimmy says, “I am constantly trying to achieve simplicity in my paintings which continues to be a lifelong challenge”.  When teaching, Jimmy enjoys sharing the process of that challenge and seeking ways in which he can convey information to students in a clear and concise manner that helps them overcome stumbling blocks.
