CREATING FORM – TRADITIONAL AND MODERN METHODS

By request, Mark Anthony will review several traditional and modern drawing methods to create the powerful effect of form.  Many artists tend to lose control through the developing process and sometimes fall into the proverbial ‘cat-and-mouse game’ of chasing values and shadows.  Using buttery smooth CARAN D’ACHE water soluble graphites from Switzerland and CANSON drawing paper, Mark Anthony will help you through a step-by-step fundamental analysis of complex abstract forms and a powerful monochromatic execution   Come ready to draw, learn.  For intermediate to advanced levels.  However, all are welcome!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Entrants should come with a small drawing pad for sketching and note taking.  You will learn a step-by-step approach to interpreting and translating key visual models.
