Megan Evans: A Decade of Creative Sparks

October 02, 2019 - October 13, 2019

Description

Artists are often asked what prompted them to first pick up a paintbrush. For Victoria born Megan Evans, it was two-fold – not only was it a channel for self expression, but also a therapeutic means of coping with chronic pain and depression.

Megan Evans: A Decade of Creative Sparks, running from October 2nd to October 13th portrays the beauty of nature and Megan’s sense of self-discovery – the positive things in life. Although she first started to create art as a child, it became even more important to her as a

teen when she was diagnosed with Spondylolisthesis, a spinal disease. To this day, Megan says that while art has certainly enriched her life, it is a critical part of her day-to-day activities.

On Saturday, October 5th from 1 to 3, you will have the opportunity to talk to Megan in person at the Meet-the-Artist Reception and learn more about not only her art and all the venues in which she has shown, but also her books because, yes, Megan is also co-author of a couple of historical romances. Talk about multi-talented!
