Mixed Media and Alcohol Inks with Hilary Paige 
Join Hilary Paige as she intuitively creates luminous abstract art with the ephemeral artform of alcohol ink.
Weaving together her learnings as a visual artist and philosophies as an Expressive Arts Therapist, Hilary reveals a different side to this beautiful medium by incorporating mixed media and empowering processes that ignite the creative flow state.
In this mixed media alcohol ink demo you will learn about positive and negative space and how to create mini abstracts out of large pieces of work. She will discuss blending, layering, staining, burning, movement and embellishments.
Hilary believes in the importance of following the emergent, taking risks, pausing, less is more approach, beginner’s mindset, process, pleasure and play. This demo is destined to be fun!

Legion YUPO paper – YUPO Roll in White
Liquitex acrylic ink Titanium white
Mat board with 4×6” opening
Pipettes
Dixie cups
Paper towels
Mica flakes
Isopropyl alcohol 99%
Straw
Deconstructed blow drier

Artist Bio: 
Hilary Paige is a visual artist who creates luminous paintings with ink and mixed media inspired by the celestial and the elemental. As a creative facilitator she helps people access the fullness of their self-expression through empowering creative processes. Her work is known for its unmistakable colour palettes, eye-catching luminosity, and luscious texture. Weaved together, the overarching feeling is said to be reminiscent of refractions of light on water, coral and seafoam, flowers and petals, feathers, celestial landscapes, and portals. She believes wholeheartedly that art has the ability to bridge everyday reality with the sacred. “My mission is to be a gateway for people in remembering the beauty and wellspring of sacred creative possibility that lives within their own heart”.
