Mixed Media Gold Leaf Intensive

Description

In this workshop you will:
Create three elegant illuminated finished pieces using three different Gold Leaf techniques.
Technique 1 – Apply plaster as a ground, etch into plaster, apply an image transfer, create Gold Leaf script
Technique 2 – Create your own faux Gold Leaf, paint on “Gold Leaf” as a ground, create a birds nest mono print, collage
Technique 3 – Apply Sandable Hard Gesso creating a porcelain like ground, apply an image transfer, create embossed areas, apply Gold Leaf to the embossed areas

You Will Take Home:
Three finished 8×8 pieces
The remainder of your package of Composition Gold Leaf
The remainder of your Gold Leaf Adhesive

You will be provided all other supplies including:
GOLDEN OPEN Acrylics and GOLDEN Fluid Acrylics, brushes, brayers, and other interesting supplies and tools that will help you create glowing, beautiful pieces of art.

Prior to this workshop students will need to:
gather meaningful images that can be used for the image transfer techniques. People, animals, and objects work well.
(prints must be color photocopies or laser-jet prints)
