NatureSketch Online: Perfect Pairs

February 04, 2023 - February 25, 2023

Nature can appear chaotic to the regular eye, and even to trained eyes the patterns of nature can be complex and hard to follow. This month we observe a simple but happy pattern in nature: animals pairing up. Whether for friendship, love, bonding, or mutually beneficial relationships, there are many critters that love to form pairs!
This 4-week NatureSketch Online course is taught by Val Lawton, who will teach you art fundamentals such as line drawing, understanding shapes, and shading techniques, with a fresh and fun approach that will encourage budding artists to create beautiful nature sketches. Using eco-literacy principles from world-renowned artist and naturalist, Robert Bateman, the course will encourage participants to connect to nature through art and observation. Students will create 4 drawings and gain the knowledge and skills to make many more.
