Enhance your plein air tool kit with pastels with Peri Nilan!
Learn about the versatility of oil pastels, which is a great medium to use on its own or in mixed media artwork. Also portable, it is a good medium for use in Plein Air artwork. Achieve rich and vibrant colours with basic techniques suitable for artists of all skill levels. Peri will demonstrate layering, blending and highlighting techniques, and how to create depth and texture in a seascape composition.

Peri-Laine is a retired teacher and Art specialist, who has taught art to children and adults in both the public and private sector for many years. She has presented art workshops at conferences, teaches classes in a variety of mediums in her local community, while continuing to work in her home studio. Peri-Laine is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the BC Art Teachers Association, and the New West Artists group.
