Description
Come learn techniques for painting the portrait. In this class there will be four, three week long poses. Noah will show you classical techniques for painting a realistic portrait. Noah will teach the use of plumb lines, comparative measurement, and tilt angle to find correct proportions. Noah will show how he mixes colours and talk about how he thinks about colour when painting.
Working from live clothed models, you will learn how to start your painting, see and record shapes clearly and simply, and model form by carefully observing the properties of light.
You will work on four paintings over the twelve week class. Each painting will be three weeks long.
Lots of demos and individual instruction!
All levels of experience welcome but some drawing experience recommended.
