August 8, 2019 – Please note: We are sorry to announce that this demonstration has been cancelled. Thank you for your interest.
Sat, August 10th 10:30AM – 12:00PM
Sat, August 10th 2:00PM – 3:30PM
Join Krunal Patel and learn techniques for working with acrylic to create abstract life paintings!
Krunal will be doing a demonstration of painting hands from life and abstracting the image with muted and bright colours. I will be discussing the nuances of abstracting life drawing/painting with material objects and animals. Krunal will be displaying life drawing and acrylic shading techniques with a brief glimpse into water colour done with acrylic paints. Krunal will also be showing how to use watered down acrylics as an alternative to watercolours. Through this demonstration, you will learn to go outside the box of what people expect art to be, but also garner a greater appreciation for abstract/surreal art.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus North Vancouver or contact them at 604-904-0447 to register.
About Krunal:
I was born in Zambia, Africa, but raised in a small town in Ontario. I’ve always had an attraction towards art since childhood. I would further this passion by doing my fine arts HBA. After several years doing freelance art jobs in Toronto, I decided to bring my passion out west in the pursuit of teaching. I am currently a part time correspondence teacher and working towards becoming full time professor. My art styles vary from moment to moment, from realism to cartooning. I don’t feel bound to any one medium, and love to dabble in all mediums if I can.
