Painting: Colour, Medium and Surface
July 05, 2023 - August 09, 2023
This course will focus on how the combination of subject, medium, colour and surface can create a successful painting. We will explore how such choices can be used to change/enhance/subvert the mood, impact and meaning of a painting and affect the painting process. Students will be encouraged to experiment with different surfaces, work with a range of colour schemes and varying amounts of paint mediums for varied effects. Acrylic or oil painters welcome. Some painting experience required.
This online course will be held via Zoom. Students will receive a link one week ahead of the start of the course.
