Painting: Invented Landscapes

Description
In this workshop you will create a quick series of small landscape paintings limiting your palette to three colours that are evenly spaced around the colour wheel (triadic colour scheme). Key concepts taught include: using a limited palette and colour mixing to create different moods or atmospheres. Suitable for all levels.

This online workshop will be held via Zoom. Students will receive a link one week ahead of the start of the workshop.

Suppy List
- paint: a random range of colours in acrylic, oil, gouache or watercolour (the more colours the better)
- brushes
- palette
- palette knife
- two small surfaces (stretched canvas, canvas paper, or gessoed panel)
- six small surfaces about 5”x7” or 6”x8”. You can cut pieces of white Bristol board or matboard, or gesso small pieces of wood or cardboard
