Learn how to create a realistic painting in watercolour with Meeta Dani!

Meeta Dani will be describing wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brushing, layering, masking, color lifting, etc while demonstrating a realistic painting in watercolors. She will be painting bright white daisies over a dark blurred background using standard watercolor techniques. The participants of the demonstration will learn how to analyze a subject and paint it realistically, how to determine which technique should be used to paint a specific texture, a few important tips on painting in realism and how to handle difficult situations. In the end, she will introduce her book ‘Realistic Watercolor Unleashed.’ Signed copies of the book will be available to purchase.

Meeta Dani is an internationally renowned award-winning Indian watercolor artist who is now based in Burnaby, Canada. She is a completely self-taught artist and specializes painting in hyper-realistic style using watercolors. Meeta was selected as one of the grandmasters of fine art around the world in 2017. She is a senior signature member of the ‘Federation of Canadian Artists.’ Meeta is the founder and president of the not-for-profit organization ‘Global Association of Watercolor Artists ‘ (GAWA). GAWA provides an unbiased international platform for supporting watercolor artists of all levels across 120 countries around the world. She is also the author of the book ‘ Realistic Watercolor Unleashed.’
