August 04, 2022
Description
When: Aug 4th from 11:00 – 12:30 (PDT).
Sketching the Urban Forest with Matthew Hall
Join Matthew Hall in this inspiring demo as he shows you how to create a forest scene as an urban sketcher would paint it – loosely, informally, and relatively quickly. You will also learn practical paint applications such as wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry watercolours, building a scene in layers from the background to the foreground and painting first and adding ink lines at the end, in order to stay loose and to avoid just ‘colouring in’ the lines.
Materials list:
Fabriano Artistico Watercolour Paper (Hot Press)
Lamy Fountain Pens (Safari)
Fineliners: (Sakura Micron or Faber Castell Pitt Fineliners)
Waterbrushes (Sakura Koi)
Daniel Smith Watercolours: Sap Green, Deep Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, Burnt umber
