Learn how to focus on the bigger picture and effectively draw with paint with Steve “SP” Williams! Steve will be creating a still life painting from life in oil paint. He will demonstrate how to effectively draw with paint and how to focus on the bigger picture. After blocking in the big shapes, Steve will show how to create hard and soft edges, while building up a painting from shadows to half tones to light, creating a still life filled with light.
Space is limited and registration is required.

SP Williams is a Vancouver based artist and co-founder of Canvas Method. For the past fifteen years, Steve has taught painting and drawing, maintained a studio practice, and has exhibited his work internationally. Spending several years studying at renowned ateliers in France, USA and Taiwan, he has also studied with artists such as Henry Yan, Kim English, Michelle Tully and Sean Cheetham.
