Call to Artists
Summerset Music & Arts Festival is an open-air 3 day celebration of music and art located at the beautiful historic Fort Langley Heritage Site in Fort Langley BC, Labour Day weekend with attendance expected to reach up to 4000 people per day.
Art Fort Langley Events in partnership with Red Door Events has a call to artists to show and sell their work within the Summerset Music & Arts Festival. Hours of exhibition will be Friday August 30th: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm Saturday 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm Sunday 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Application deadline is July 15, 2019.
Earlybird (until July 10th., 2019) artist fees of $325 for the 3 day event will include a 10 x 10 tent canopy, 1 chair, 1500 watts of power for your own lighting, and 2 wristbands to the festival. Tables if needed are available for an extra rental fee of $30. Tent walls are extra as well.
Artists are responsible for all insurance of his/her artworks for the entire event including installation and takedown. The Summerset Music & Arts Festival, Art Fort Langley Events, Red Door Events, and representatives are not responsible for any accidental damage to the artworks. Artists accept that the event and exhibition space is outdoors in a tent and subject to variable weather conditions. 24 hour security will be present within the event ground but we recommend artists take down and set up artwork daily.
Artists must be set up and be ready to sell 45 minutes before gate opening, and must remain on site with works on display until 10:00 pm each day. Early take downs will not be invited back to future events. Artists must maintain the appearance of having a full display of art in their booth at all times and have enough work to replace any sold pieces or offer delivery after the festival of sold pieces.
In addition to filling out the application form artists will need to provide 5-10 photographs of currently available work that will be exhibited along with mediums, sizes and prices. The artist accepts that photos submitted may be used by Art Fort Langley Events, and Red Door Events for promotion of Summerset Music and Arts Festival on websites or on social media.
