The Art of Becoming an Artist with Darylynn Starr Rank

November 23, 2019

Description

Saturday, November 23 10:30AM – 12:00PM
Saturday, November 23 2:00PM – 3:40PM

Being an artist can be the most enchanting life imaginable – and the most tormenting.  Finding your way to your own creative universe is often an extraordinary and infinitely surprising journey. There ain’t no right way to get to your art. There is only YOUR WAY. This presentation will explore the profound need to feel some level of safety, the absolutely innate nature of creativity, and the inevitable and often instantaneous interference with the process that occurs for all of us. Then we’ll begin the search for the things that can help you get to your art.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus North Vancouver or contact them at 604‑904‑0447 to register.

Darylynn Starr Rank (most people call her Dari), is a writer, a therapist (her specialty is working with artists), a teacher, and a creativity consultant.  She has taught over eighty courses since 2002 to hundreds of practicing artists in every field, and hundreds more aspiring artists, as well as professional development programs for therapists, college instructors, etc. She has  taught throughout the Lower Mainland, as well as in the Florida Keys, at colleges and universities (UBC, Langara, Capilano U, Florida Keys Community College), businesses (Electronic Arts – EA), and many, many non-profits. None of the courses were given either for grades or for credit, as any formal evaluation of the participants would be inappropriate and antithetical to this particular process!
