Description
When: Dec. 11th at 11:00am
Introduction to Cartooning with Brian Tate!
Join cartoonist Brian Tate for a fun and hands-on workshop exploring the art of cartooning. You’ll learn how to use simple shapes and exaggeration to create cartoon characters, how to create expression and movement, coming up with story ideas, and the step-by-step process starting with a “rough”, pencilling, inking, shading and hatching, and finishing your cartoon with watercolour. We’ll explore how to create scenes and tell stories using the classic four-panel comic strip format. And since it is December, we will create a four-panel holiday-themed comic strip that you can print and use as a customized greeting card!
