Description
Join Svetlana Shkuratova and discover the versatile and expressive world of collagraph printmaking with the tinfoil plate technique. In this fun and simple introduction to printmaking, students will go through each step required to create a collagraph print including building a plate, preparing the ink and paper, and using the printing press.
Special Instructions
Bring an apron or an old shirt, a sketchbook, a folder for completed prints and some materials to create texture (eg, tissue paper, embossed textured paper, cupcake liners, thread, dry flattened leaves, feathers, etc.) All other materials are provided.
Prerequisites
No experience required. This class will qualify members to use the VCAC print studio on a drop-in basis. There will be a 30 min lunch break provided.
