Description
Do you have an unfinished painting that you’d like to finish but don’t know how? This workshop is for you. Bring a painting that you’ve been stuck on for a while, and throughout the weekend we’ll work through various ways of finding direction and moving forward with the painting.
Through value and colour studies, composition armatures, discussion, and experimentation, you’ll learn how to approach your work with fresh eyes. Balancing a “best practices” approach with intuition and creativity provides you with grounding principles that leave room for your individual and unique voice.
Bring an open mind, let go of your attachment to “finishing the painting”, learn from others, and give yourself permission to experiment for this wonderful weekend of painting. The workshop consists of group discussion, instructor lecture and demo, individual feedback, and plenty of hands-on working time.
Intended for oil painting. All experience levels welcome.
