Enjoy hundreds of original art works by 28 local artists, beautifully exhibited for the public to view and/or buy. The works feature abstracts, landscapes, florals, portraits, figures and still life in a range of media (oils, acrylic, watercolour, pencil and mixed media) and in size from small to large, framed and unframed. All are very affordable. There are also cards and jewelry so something for everyone. Treat yourself or get your Christmas shopping done early.

Serenity by Alyson Thorpe This is the Vancouver Art Guild’s 22nd Annual Winter Salon. From a few artists showing in a living room, the group has grown to present 18 years of enormously successful shows at Jericho Centre starring 30+ artists. After one on-line show because of Covid, the “Guilders” moved their show to VanDusen last year to the delight of friends and admirers.

The Vancouver Art Guild encourages the viewing and appreciation of art, supports local emerging artists and hopes to welcome a few new members next year. Current ‘Guilders” include those who have been active in art all their lives; some came to art from teaching, medicine, finance, business etc. The Guild has provided charitable support to several art-related activities including an Emily Carr scholarship and materials for The Gathering Place in downtown Vancouver.
