Getting Started Guide for New Users

When: June 5th @ 1pm (1.5hr Demo)

Join skilled master watercolour artist Javid Tabatabaei for an insightful demonstration of sunny urban scene painting demonstration. Javid will complete a full painting within this 1.5hr demo and share many techniques with demo attendees – both general and city scene-specific. You can look forward to learning Javid’s go-to materials, preferred way of preparing his watercolour paper, techniques for painting dimensional buildings, shadows, and city life. This demonstration will be fantastic for beginners to practiced watercolour artists alike or for anyone interested in watching the painting process of one of Canada’s master watercolour artists.

Arches Watercolor Paper Sheet Cold-press (140lbs/300gsm)

Variety of Escoda Brushes 

Calligraphy brushes such as a few FC Art Goat Hair Bamboo brushes

Artist Bio

Javid Tabatabaie has been a professional watercolour artist for over twenty years. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions all around the world; including China, Turkey, Italy, and Pakistan. Over the course of his career, Javid has held many in-person and online workshops. He has also been a jury member for the international watercolor society of Turkey and has received many awards and prizes from various watercolour competitions.
