Watercolour: Art and Science

January 11, 2022

$425

Description

Art and science have co-existed throughout history as demonstrated through botanical and zoological drawings; diagrams of the earth’s structure and solar systems; and medical illustrations. This course uses several branches of science including cell biology, botany, geology, astronomy, mathematics and human physiology as a point of departure for drawing and painting. Basic watercolour techniques will be covered, but the focus of the course is on responding to a scientific subject in an expressive and imaginative way.
