Williamsburg Oils: Using a Limited Palette with Maria Josenhans

February 20, 2020

Description

Thursday, February 20 10:30AM – 12:00PM

Join North Vancouver based artist Maria Josenhans as she delves into the world of Opus’ newest professional oil paint addition, Wiliamsburg Handmade Oils. During this demo Maria will explain how to use a limited palette based off of Williamburg’s premade sets and share her knowledge of of what makes Williamsburg Oils so special. Using a limited palette allows you to fully learn the art of mixing any colour as well as prepare you with a smaller kit to bring when doing art on-the-go or en plein air. With a limited palette, the possibilities are endless!

Trained as an illustrator, Maria received her BFA from University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Maria has been practicing art for more than three decades and although her medium of choice for plein air and landscape work is oil, she also works in, gouache, encaustic, and black and white photography. She works out of her studio in North Vancouver and her work is represented by the Buckland Southerst Gallery, West Vancouver, The Avenue Gallery, Victoria, and Art Interiors, Toronto.
