Join Reha Sakar in this inspiring demo and learn how to create a visual narrative with your watercolours. Reha will have you contemplating composition, mood and lighting setting the stage of the scene taking place. He will also demonstrate how to stay loose in one’s painting style while staying precise. This demo will encourage you to brave the world of plein air painting and you will learn how to develop your art practice by yes leaving the reference photo behind.

Watercolour Paints (Holbein and Daniel Smith)

Arches (Cold/Rough Watercolour Papers 300grms)
Mop Brush (Large – 2 sizes)
Rigger Brush (2 sizes)
Escoda Brush (size 2, 6, 8, 10 and 16)

Bamboo Brushes (Chinese calligraphy brushes for water applications)

Artist Bio:
Reha Sakar’s mother is an artist and he grew up spending most of his time in her studio, exploring painting and art. In university Reha studied Astronomy which he always wanted to explore and discovered that his passion as an astrologer was not as great as his passion for art. Once recognizing this he found encouragement from his mom who pushed him to take some courses on 3d and Photoshop in 2002. He has been working in the gaming/movie industry since 2004. After school Reha moved to Canada in 2008 where he still resides. Reha Sakars started watercolour studies at the end of 2018 and is currently building his career as a watercolour artist and looks forward to a future of nourishing his passion to paint!
