March 09, 2024
$45 - 50
Description
West Vancouver Community Arts Council presents:
Zentangle is a method of drawing that uses 8 basic steps to create beautiful artwork. Images are created by drawing structured patterns which are called tangles, using elemental strokes such as dots, lines, curves etc. It is easy to learn, relaxing, and fun!
No drawing experience is needed.
In this 1.5 hour class, you will learn the basics of Zentangle including the history, philosophy, and terminology from a Certified Zentangle Teacher. You will be guided through 4 foundational “tangles” creating a unique artwork.
Develop skills in composition, pattern & line work.
Everything you need will be provided for you in your own Zentangle Mini Kit. Once the class is complete, you can take your Zentangle Mini Kit home and continue your creative journey.
Artist/Instructor Bio
Natasha Dash is a Certified Zentangle Teacher. She began her Zentangle journey in 2016 and has enjoyed many benefits of “tangling”. Natasha uses tangling as a healthy and creative way to deal with stress and access a state of relaxed focus. Natasha’s favourite part of teaching the method of Zentangle is that each student is given the same instructions, but every tile produced looks so different and unique, just like each person.
Natasha is a passionate lifelong learner and when she is not teaching tangling or creating her own Zentangle art, she is teaching Kindergarten in the North Vancouver School District.
