Architecture as Abstraction

Description

The focus of this workshop is on using architecture as a source for the development of subject matter and dynamic compositions . Starting with methods from the Russian Constructivists and their geometric drawings, students will make an abstract drawing based on a few simple parameters. In the second project, images of room interiors are traced and these components are developed into an abstracted composition, rendered in watercolor. No previous drawing or watercolor experience necessary.
