Bark Basketry

Description
Instructor: Joan Carrigan
We will begin with a hands-on discussion of the gathering and preparation of barks. Then we will make a basket using a selection of barks including: red and yellow cedar and a variety of willow bark. The weaving techniques used in this basket sill include variations of plaiting and twining. Sample baskets will be on hand for inspiration. Basket will measure approx. 4”x 4” x 5”
