Description
Instructor: Tracy Leal
During this workshop you will create a beautiful leather bound book to hold your thoughts and experiences…making a journal as unique as your personal thoughts and feelings.
Choosing between two styles of leather, a variety of gorgeous end-papers, linen thread and finishing touches, there will be plenty of opportunity to build a journal that best reflects you!
The book produced will have 100 pages of quality mixed media able to support a wide range of journalling techniques to help tell your story. The paper can take light watercolour, acrylic, pastel, ink and glue for adding photos or other bits of ephemera. The exposed stitch style of binding will allow the journal to be opened flat, allowing you to use the page to the margins. The landscape size and soft leather cover make the journal easy to carry along to use whenever the mood strikes you.
Skills covered include folding, scoring, hole punching and sewing. In addition to the journal, participants will also make a pamphlet notebook.
Bring along any special buttons, beads or charms for adorning your personal journal.
