Creativity Bootcamp: Exploring Your Inner Artist

$445

Description

Creativity Bootcamp: Exploring Your Inner Artist (MMEDw173-30)

The workshop, taught by textile artist Natalie Grambow, will explore creativity through images, materials and idea development. Students will have the opportunity during these five days of immersion to delve into a journey of deepening and expanding their creative art practice, as well as accessing fresh ideas and inspiration. They will be guided through the elements and principles of design, such as composition, proportion, harmony, contrast, unity, incorporating space, line, shape, texture, pattern and many more elements. These will provide a creative structure for the development of their process and work. Students will learn to visually narrate stories incorporating personal references and applying design principles. Approaches such as image deconstruction, colour relationships, mono-printing, writing, and drawing will be used as ways to develop content and composition. Opening one’s heart and mind to new ways of exploring dynamic ideas and insight might reveal a new creative flow and remove “creative blocks”. Everyone will leave the workshop with a creative journal (which will provide a valuable source for future ideas and project development) and a whole toolbox of creative tools and strategies that will continue to harness and motivate inspiration and artistic instincts.
