Classes focus on understanding objects in space – be it still life, portrait or figure – and representing them on a flat surface, transcending the “light and shadow” approach (an unfortunate and common misconception); classes have a heavy emphasis on art history and can be combined with sculpture (which is recomended) for a broader understanding.
