Elements of Composition

Description
This two day composition course touches on the way an artwork get put together. The choices that the artist has in placing shapes, lines and colour in their art work. We will speak about the difference in horizontal, vertical and oblique art pieces, explain the ‘Golden Edge’ and how to lead the viewer’s eye into your art work. Working on an abstract landscape piece, the participants will come home with a piece of art of their own compositional choices.
A great base for anybody who paints or draws!
Another course in one of the most beautiful art rooms in Vancouver, right at the water’s edge, with view of the water, Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains!!!
Special Instructions
Bring cover up for your clothes, as we will be painting in this workshop as well!
Prerequisites
none. This is a great course for people who are thinking of starting to paint and a fantastic add-on to those who paint already for longer
