Encaustic Mixed Media Collage and Image Transfer – 1 day with Shary Bartlett

Description

This workshop will introduce participants to amazing mixed media paintings that can be created by combining sweet-smelling molten encaustic beeswax with Shary’s huge array of ephemera, fibres and enticing trinkets. Learn to transfer images into wax. Learn encaustic basics: how to colour, fuse, alter, highlight and gild with metallics. You will bring home several paintings on wood substrates.

This workshop is suitable for new or experienced encaustic artists.

$130.00 (+ $30 supplies) + GST (discount available for students taking 3+ encaustic classes- see list at www.sharybartlett.com) All supplies included in fee. Due to the scarcity of bees, beeswax is very expensive. I use the highest quality beeswax, coloured waxes, oil sticks and encaustic materials.
