Description
Instructor: Gillian Redwood. This 2-Day workshop is the Second one in the Expressive Painting Series & will have a particular focus: Beyond Perspective. (Note: You don’t need to have taken the previous workshop in order to do this one)
Everything that we see is conditioned by interpretation, based on experience. Our brain can alter what we see and the way that we see it. This 2-Day workshop is concerned with the traditional approach to perspective, some simple rules, and we will look at different ways to show distance, light and texture.
Through experimenting with different media and drawing materials, charcoal and pastels, I will take you through a step by step process to discover your own expressions of near and far, looking down, looking up and going beyond.
The second day is dedicated to translating these ideas into painting with acrylics. You will have the opportunity to complete a painting at this 2 Day session.
