Free Style Chinese Brush Watercolour Painting on Rice Paper

In Free Style Chinese painting, the challenge is in the timing – a moment too long with the paintbrush will cause the ink and watercolour to spread too much on the THIN rice paper. Speed control is therefore an important technique to master while adjusting the smoothness of the brush stroke.

We focus on the technique how to master a paintbrush onto the THIN rice paper and express the creation of symmetry and asymmetry in nature. (See the samples of my works from my profile.)
