Description
Instructor; Geraldine McGuire.
This introductory course will make you familiar with kiln-forming basics. You begin by first designing, then firing your own unique pendant and earrings. You will learn what type of glass should be used, and what glass compatibility means. Topics such as thermal shock, devitrification and annealing will also be explained and how it can impact your piece of art. You will become familiar with priming your own kiln and the importance of keeping a firing log. Since our time together is limited you will leave with at least two finished pieces of jewelry. Please wear closed toe shoes.
Warning!!! This course can be both addictive and fun.
