Accurate colour mixing is first and foremost, about training the eye to see accurately. It is secondly about learning principles and techniques that will help get the mixture correct, every time.

In this three-day course Master Instructor Gaye Adams will give you the direction you need to do just that, through learning the basic principles of subtractive colour mixing.

Students will then complete a series of painting exercises designed to further solidify the principles of colour mixing that you’ve learned. You will learn not only how to mix the right color, but also discover how to get the intensity and tonality correct, which is absolutely necessary in order to make the light in a painting convincing and compelling.

Instead of settling for colours that are almost what you wanted, you’ll learn how to arrive at the mixtures you really wanted, every, single, time. This is a wonderful tool to add to your kit!
