Painting: Colour as Practice (PNTGs223-18)

This course offers an excellent opportunity to put colour theory into practice. You will create several paintings that employ key aspects of colour such as value, hue, intensity and temperature, as well as simple and complex colour relationships. Students who have completed Painting: Understanding Colour are encouraged to bring their completed colour binders as a ready reference. Students who have not taken colour theory can learn as they paint. An assortment of painting subjects are covered such as still life, portrait and landscape. Previous painting experience recommended.

Prerequisites

Previous painting experience and basic understanding of colour theory recommended.
