Penticton: CARFAC BC Business Skills for Artists – Writing Grant and Exhibition Proposals Workshop

$30 for CARFAC members / 50 for non-members

Description

Canadian Artists Representation (CARFAC BC) is offering a series of professional development workshops for artists across B.C. that will take a more in-depth and hands-on approach to the business of art. Tackling the themes brought up in our public panels, workshops will focus on making a living as artists through commissions, public art, grants, and how to get into galleries and festivals. Participants will gain insider knowledge, contacts, and skills that will further their professional abilities and assist them in thriving as artists in British Columbia. These workshops will be part lecture, part practical project, and in some case peer consultation.

On Saturday, September 27 from 1 to 4 pm, join media artist and writer Tracey Kim Bonneau at the Shatford Centre, 760 Main Street in Penticton, for a workshop on how to navigate the proposal writing process. Through discussion, lecture, and peer review, the group will analyze opportunities and discuss the preparation of professional materials.
