Opus Art Supplies a proud member of BC Buy Local, a campaign that celebrates local business to promote the contributions that BC businesses make to our economy and our communities.

The greatest local economic value is created by businesses who are locally owned and operated. Based on LOCO BC’s research study, the Power of Local Purchasing, it was found these businesses re-circulate dollars in our local economy 2.6 times more than their non-locally based counterparts. For every $100 dollars spent with a BC-based business, $46 will stay in our economy (vs $18 for non-local counterparts).

Our BC business has steadily grown over the past 40+ years thanks to our neighbours choosing to shop local. This allows us to employ 125+ Opus staff in BC, including our production staff who make several of our Opus brand products, and to give back to the creative communities we serve through our community events, donations program and being a patron of other local businesses.

We encourage everyone to seek out local-owned businesses and local-made and grown products during BC Buy Local Week, November 28 – December 4, 2016, and beyond! Buying local whenever possible not only helps support our local economy, it helps our friends and neighbours thrive and builds community for all.
