Summer Festivals & Community Events

July 9, 2019

Summertime is about “fun”. When late June rolls around and we look to the outdoors, feel the warmth of the sun on our skin, smell the freshly cut grass, and think about how to use our “down time”, the outdoors invites us to do more out there… This year WE want to be out there too and we’re extra excited for this summer’s festival season!

Explore new things – experiment, get hands-on, try something new, and stock up on summer memories that will inspire your artwork when you next return to the studio. Take your sketchbook or camera along with you and capture what you see – festivals offer a wonderful opportunity for people watching and new experiences!

Feel the excitement and celebration of the Vancouver Mural Festival’s Street Party on Main Street on Saturday, Aug 10th – come and see hundreds of new murals that are decorating the city. Vancouver Mural Festival is a wonderful way to experience the art on the street in this part of Vancouver. Stop by the Opus tent to watch a large-scale acrylic pour, try your hand at a mini acrylic pour or silkscreen a sketchbook to take home!
